Hi, I’m Melissa Van Dijk. After years of struggling with breakouts and relying on skincare products, I decided to take a new path. For over a year now, I’ve been running a detailed experiment, tracking everything from diet, stress, sleep, and digestion to my environment. What I discovered is that breakouts are caused by pesticides, heavy metals, plastics, and additives, essentially anything the body recognizes as foreign, which enters through our diet and the environment we live in. Because of this, this channel is now shifting its focus from topical skincare to showing how diet and environmental factors impact your skin, and how you can solve your skin issues for good. I’ll still share basic skincare and makeup tips when they’re practical such as using sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays or removing makeup and sunscreen with a gentle cleanser, but you’ll also see more and more cooking recipes, along with tips on how to adjust both your diet and your environment.
