Maria Díaz began working for Social Security in 1982 when she was still a student at Florida International University. Over the course of the years, she filled many positions within the administration before becoming the South Florida Public Affairs Specialist in 2000. Maria retired in 2017 after over 35 years of service with the Social Security Administration. She fills her days spending time with family and friends, travel, assisting community and trying to stay healthy.
