About New England Reptile: YouTube Channel Profile

Channel Description

King cobras, 16-foot pied retics, the world's first albino Boiga, ivory water monitors. We cover reptile health, the behavioral science behind socializing reptiles and how to handle venomous species responsibly. We teach, and we show you 40 years of breeding and keeping from the inside, the wins and the failures. Kevin McCurley pioneered the Cow, Calico and Golden Child retic morphs, produced the first captive-bred albino water monitors in the U.S. and bred many of your favorite ball python morphs, like the Bumblebee, the Spider and many more. Kevin bred his first snakes at 14, with the support of his father, Ellis McCurley. He started NERD in 1989 and incorporated it in 1994. He's known worldwide and has worked alongside some of the best in the field, including Steve Irwin, Jeff Corwin, Wes Mannion, Tom Crutchfield and Bob Clark. Steve believed the key to conservation is education. That's the course we're charting as we enter a new era for New England Reptile.
