When Micah first joined vidIQ’s 1-on-1 coaching program, he was running a channel about YouTube growth. His coach, Paul, helped him refine titles, thumbnails, and ideas—but motivation quickly waned. Micah realized he wasn’t excited about the content and struggled to stay consistent.

The early videos leaned on trailer breakdowns, but retention dropped off as soon as the clips ended. Together, Paul and Micah restructured the videos so commentary flowed throughout, weaving in narrative and personal storytelling. This shift kept viewers engaged longer and built stronger connections.
As Micah grew more confident, he moved beyond trailer reactions. Soon, even videos without outside footage performed well, powered by his voice and enthusiasm. His content was no longer dependent on trends—it was fueled by his own perspective.
