Born Onika Tanya Maraj, Nicki Minaj has recorded three albums: Pink Friday (2010), Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (2012), and The Pinkprint (2014). In addition to her music career, Minaj has acted in films such as Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and The Other Woman (2014). She completed two tours, Pink Friday Tour and Pink Friday: Reloaded Tour, both in 2012. To complement her musical style, Nicki Minaj has created an image that includes colorful outfits, theatrical makeup, and a variety of wigs. She is known as much for her style as she is for her music. For her work, Minaj has won four American Music Awards, eight BET Awards, six BET Hip-Hop Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two Billboard.com Mid-Year Music Awards, 14 BMI Urban Awards, one MOBO award, two MTV Music Video Awards, and many others. She has also been nominated for additional awards such as the MTV O Music Awards, Soul Train Awards, and multiple Teen Choice Awards. In addition to winning numerous awards, Minaj has been involved in several promotional product endorsements/projects with companies including MAC Cosmetics, OPI Products, Nokia, Kmart, Beats Electronics, and Mattel. She has produced her own clothing line, fragrances, even wines over the past years. Minaj became a judge on American Idol during its 12th season in 2013. She remained a judge until the end of the season.
