When Kyle Searcy began posting on YouTube in late 2024 through his channel, Midnight Prayer Retreat, it wasn’t for views or virality—it was to help. He believed he had something meaningful to share and chose YouTube as the platform to put his message into the world. He started with self-help videos—content he deeply believed in—but the response was frustrating. He would pour his heart into a video, make it perfect, and get 20 or 30 views. Maybe 100. He knew he had something to offer, but I wasn’t reaching people. Like many creators, Kyle felt the tension between passion and traction. So he did what most don’t—he kept refining, learning, and looking for a better way.
The Turning Point
After months of trial and error, Kyle joined the vidIQ Coaching Program and began working with Coach Eric. Right away, something clicked - not just in terms of strategy, but chemistry.

- Narrow the focus. Kyle realized some of his better-performing long-form videos had something in common: they helped people sleep, so he leaned into that specific niche. Midnight Prayer Retreat was born - a channel dedicated to prayer videos, scripture readings, and peaceful narration that help people fall asleep.
- Analyze the data. Instead of clinging to early content that didn’t connect, Kyle doubled down on what worked - even if it surprised him.
- Keep the main mission the main mission. Kyle never chased views - he chased value. And that value drove growth.
The Results
After 5 months of coaching, Kyle reached:
16,600 subscribers (up from 1400) (11x Growth)
1,000,000 Total Views (up from 75,000)
Hundreds of messages from people who hadn’t slept in weeks, viewers finding comfort through his words, and strangers saying his content had brought them peace
