## Channel description

Written by the channel:

> Welcome to the world of Fierljeppen – Dutch Canal Jumping! 🌊🇳🇱
> On this channel, I share videos about the unique and spectacular sport of fierljeppen, also known as canal jumping. The goal? Run, grab a tall pole standing in the water, climb it as high as possible while it falls forward, and land as far as you can on the other side. The person who jumps the farthest wins!
>
> 🏆 The current world record:
> • Men: 22.21 meters
> • Women: 18.19 meters
>
> Fierljeppen is a small but passionate sport practiced only in the Netherlands. Through this channel, I aim to raise awareness and appreciation for this beautiful tradition. By sharing competitions, highlights, and amazing jumps, I hope to inspire more people to discover and support this unique piece of Dutch culture – and help keep it alive for future generations!
